Sleeping Beauty is one of the finest ballets in the classical repertoire. Pyotr Tchaikovsky himself held it for his best ballet. The story about the beautiful sleeping princess and the brave prince who wakes her up with a kiss, Tchaikovsky composed some of his most beautiful music. The magnificent stage design of the production takes the audience to the wonderland of fairies and beauties.
Marius Petipa's The Sleeping Beauty has all the elements of an enduring fairy tale: romance, poetry, fate, goodness versus evil, and of course, love!

The Baltic Festival Orchestra was establishedby the talented musicians Latvia's, Hungary’s and Russia’s professional orchestras (the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra of the Latvian National Opera, the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra etc.), as well as by students from the Latvian Academy of Music.
The artistic director and conductor is a famous conductor from St. Petersburg, Maestro Vadim Nikitin. The repertoire of the orchestra includes works by Ravel, Debussy, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Massenet, Faure and Albegis, Gounod and others. Still, the main focus of the orchestra’s repertoire is the music of classical ballets such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Don Quixote and many others. Throughout their creative activity, the orchestra has collaborated with renowned ballet groups from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The orchestra is performing with great success in France, Great Britain, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and other European countries, having gained the reputation as one of the best ballet orchestras in Europe, despite its relatively small line-up. The orchestra includes musicians who also collaborate with the best orchestras of Latvia, Finland, Russia, the Ukraine and Hungary. Next time, they are going to play exclusively Russian ballet seasons for the well-known ballet group “St. Petersburg Festival Ballet “in Belgium, France, Luxemburg, Germany and Austria, Scandinavia and Baltic countries.
